I’m not really one for social networking. I just don’t see the point for the most part. This may be partly due to the spammy nature of the popular one (you know the one). By spammy I don’t mean that the operators engage in spamming. What I am referring to is the incessant bombardment with exhortations to bug everyone you know with invitations to play with the latest gizmo thingie designed to share your information with random third parties.
A new startup in the social networking sphere seems to have a different take on things. It’s certainly interesting., at least. You probably haven’t heard of Zurker but it’s worth poking about their site. At the very least it’s amusing to read through. It costs nothing to sign up.
The really cool bit about Zurker is that the idea is that it is not owned by one or two folks. Poke around their site and learn more.
